Discover the Benefits of Herbs.
Herbal formulas are a time-tested, natural way to support your health.
What is Herbal Medicine?
Herbal medicine is the therapeutic use of natural substances—primarily plant-based materials such as roots, leaves, flowers, and seeds. In fact, herbal medicine is a core part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), with a history of effective use dating back thousands of years.
How Do Herbs Work?
Herbal care uses plant-based ingredients, thoughtfully combined into formulas that interact with the body’s systems to gently support balance and healthy function. Rather than relying on a single herb, formulas pair ingredients to work together: some focus on the main concern, others support digestion and absorption, and others help harmonize the overall effect.
Is Herbal Medicine Safe?
Yes! Herbal medicine is considered safe when it’s personalized and guided by a trained practitioner, like Serenity. She will choose the right formula for you based upon your health history, screening for interactions (including with medications and supplements) and additional considerations, such as pregnancy.

Common Conditions Herbs Can Address-
What to Expect
Every Wild Serenity Wellness patient starts with a free consultation. During that appointment, we will review your health history, discuss what you’re experiencing, and clarify your goals so we can tailor a plan specifically designed to meet your unique needs. Serenity will also explain what to expect during and after treatment and answer any additional questions you may have.
Herbal formulas are usually prescribed in capsule form for ease of use. However, if you would like, you also have the option of a tincture (concentrated liquid) or a customized raw herbal formula that can be simmered into a tea.
While herbs may be offered to every acupuncture patient as part of their plan of care, herbal therapies are also offered on their own as a stand alone treatment.
